The Girl from Jamaica Who Never Stopped Suiting Up.

She started on the sales floor at Nordstrom. Jamaican-born, driven, and hungry. What followed was twenty years of building: styling clients, training teams, opening stores across Alabama, Jacksonville, and Puerto Rico, and ultimately leading at the Senior Director level inside one of America's most iconic retail brands, Macy's.

She knows what it takes to grow from the floor up because she did it — and not just at Nordstrom. Every room she's ever walked into, she's had to build her place in it. The kind of career you don't stumble into. You build it, room by room, store by store, and she's got twenty years of receipts to prove it.

She launched Suit Up for Success — a workshop series that has reached 3,350+ professionals across 22+ events in 9 markets nationwide, serving 7 of 9 Divine Nine organizations, university MBA programs, civic institutions, and youth organizations.

Today, Tee runs The Tee Approach LLC from Atlanta. New homeowner, mom, and recently engaged — building a life and a business that belong entirely to her. Her work is rooted in faith, fueled by strategy, and wrapped in a style that makes the message land. She's not just talking about the approach, she's living it.

The Tee Approach LLC

A vertical timeline with four gold circles connected by a thin gold line on a black background.

Built the foundation. Learned the craft of developing people, building client relationships, and leading with style and substance.

Took the leap into store leadership. Mastered the operational discipline and fast pace of off-price retail, running a business, not just a floor.

Taking everything learned across 15 years and turning it into frameworks, stages, and programs that transform how professionals and organizations show up.

The Principles
Behind The Approach

Presence is Power

How you show up — physically, energetically, professionally — determines the opportunities you access. Tee learned this on the sales floor at Nordstrom before she ever had a title to back it up. She's built a career on that truth, and she teaches it unapologetically.

People Over Process

Playbooks matter — Tee co-authored one. But she'll tell you the closures, the transitions, the large teams she led weren't won by the process. They were won by the people in the room, and whether she'd built enough trust with them to lead through the hard parts.

Excellence is Non-Negotiable

Nearly two decades inside Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, and Macy's taught Tee one thing above all: the standard doesn't move, no matter what's happening around it. She brings that same discipline to every stage, every session, and every client engagement.

Beyond
The Brand

Group of five people standing in front of a balloon backdrop with gold and black balloons and metallic stars, celebrating a Phi Theta Kappa event, with the word 'CONGRATULATIONS' spelled out in large balloons above them.

The most important title I’ll ever have isn’t executive or entrepreneur, it’s mom. Everything I build is rooted in creating a life my daughter can be proud of while showing her that faith, hard work, kindness, and ambition can all exist together.

Whether I’m mentoring students, volunteering in the community, speaking on stage, or simply showing up for the people I love, service has always been at the center of who I am.

I believe leadership isn’t measured by your title. It’s measured by whether the people you led are better off for having worked with you.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with family, reading, traveling, investing in my wellness, serving my community, or dreaming up what’s next.

Because for me, The Tee Approach has never just been a business…it’s a way of living with purpose.
